ANASTASIA: Making a Difference

Melayna Lloyd, Beth Stafford Laird, Jeremiah Ginn and Denny Daniello sported aprons for a day at St. Anthony’s.
As soon as the company manager of ANASTASIA found out that the hit tour would be playing at the Golden Gate Theatre, he knew one thing that the cast had to do: volunteer at St. Anthony’s. St. Anthony’s, located 1/2 block from the stage door, is a 70 year old San Francisco institution that serves lunch to those in need. Tens of thousands of volunteers participate each year and find that by opening their eyes and hearts to the residents of the Tenderloin, they’ve contributed in making our City a better place to live.
They’re not the first cast to do so. In fact, casts such as RENT, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, HAMILTON, THE COLOR PURPLE and dozens of others have found joy in helping those in need.
Staff members of the Golden Gate and Orpheum Theatres also participate and the ANASTASIA company, which has already volunteered at St. Anthony’s twice during their stay here, were joined by Audience Services representative Melayna Lloyd.
You can volunteer too. Learn more here.
