What are your top five favorite Broadway shows?
- HAMILTON
- Wicked
- Finding Neverland
- Kinky Boots
- RENT
What was the first Broadway show you saw?
The Phantom of the Opera was my first Broadway caliber show. I remember being mesmerized by the chandelier falling, and how that could be so realistic.
Which character in a musical or play do you most identify with and why?
I am not sure but according to the multiple online quizzes I have taken, I seem to most identify with Galinda/Glinda from Wicked!
What does theater and/or Broadway mean to you?
It means culture, and music. I am continually in awe of the actors for their immense talent. It is also something that I love sharing with my husband. You come to a certain point when possessions are not as essential, it is about experiences. And our BroadwaySF season tickets have become that important thing to us.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I am a pretty good baker. As a hobby, I make a new cupcake recipe a week to share with my friends & co-workers.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I love my job as a Social Worker. I work with at risk elderly & dependent adults. It is difficult at times, but the joy comes from both the successes and the tales that the people that I meet have to share.
If you could have dinner with one person (living or dead), who would it be and why?
Laura Ingalls Wilder. She was my childhood obsession.
Is there anything else that we should know about you?
One of my favorite thing about being a theater fan, is sharing the play going experience with my 15 year-old niece. She has attended a few BroadwaySF shows with us and will be coming to a few shows during this upcoming season. I love the thought of planting that theater-loving seed in her brain.
